Q: What certifications and quality standards does Nature Plant Co uphold for its raw materials?

At Nature Plant Co, we are committed to providing the highest quality, eco-friendly products. Our raw materials are not only FDA approved but also BPI Certified, ensuring they meet rigorous safety standards. We use Biobased Pellet NPB201909 and a unique Coconut Fibers Proprietary Formula P200 Series in our products. Additionally, our materials comply with ASTM Biobased Beta Analytic standards, specifically ASTM 5526, 5208, 5209, and D7475. Our materials are 100% biodegradable, allergen-free, and designed to be landfill-friendly, aligning with our mission to promote sustainability and environmental responsibility.

•ASTM D5526 is anaerobic biodegradation test that is used to determine anaerobic biodegradation of bio plastic or plastic materials under accelerated landfill conditions.

How should the product be stored, and how long will they last?"

Our products are hyper-compostable, biodegradable and we do not want them to last a lifetime like conventional plastics.  With that being said, our products will last up to 2 years if stored in normal dry conditions at temps between 55 - 75 degrees F.

Can Nature Plant Co products be used with hot foods and beverages?

Accepted Answer

Yes!  Our products are very durable and cand withstand temperatures up to 100 degrees C/212 degrees F.
 
Hot beverages are typically served at temperatures between 160 degrees F - 185 degrees F.
 
The max temperature of microwaved foods is 212 degrees C, which higher that the temps of most foods microwaved.

How long will does it typically take for your products to decompose?

Accepted Answer

Depending on conditions, decomposition can take up to one year.  In ideal conditions, our products will decompose in about 6-8 months
